Allan Cheshire is an educator and retired business executive. He has been responsible for planning and development projects for Fortune 500 companies in the US, Europe, South America, and China. He continues to consult with small and midsize companies looking to grow their businesses internationally.
Mr. Cheshire has been involved in musical activities since high school, sang in a men’s glee club in college, and has sung in church choirs and semi-professional groups since.
Mr. Cheshire graduated from Bucknell University with a bachelor’s degree in German and a minor in chemistry. He was awarded a scholarship for his junior year at the Wilhelm’s Universität in Bonn, Germany. He completed his master’s degree in teaching at Columbia University Teachers College in New York City and taught German on Long Island before being transferred to Chicago by Bosch. He was Director of Acquisitions and Planning for Nalco Chemical Company. After leaving the corporate world, he founded his own consulting firm, which later merged into a large public accounting firm, RSM McGladrey.
Mr. Cheshire and his family have been members of Faith Lutheran Church for 30 years. His wife Susan, a registered nurse in critical care at Loyola Medical Center in suburban Chicago, is Faith’s parish nurse. She has been instrumental in growing the parish nurse program in Chicagoland for the past 10 years.
